The Service
Trinity Fields Leisure Services is a Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) registered provision offering high‑quality, play‑based, out‑of‑school care for pupils of Trinity Fields School aged 4–17 years. All children and young people who access the service have severe or complex learning and physical disabilities, and our provision is designed to meet a wide range of individual needs.
Our Setting
With the opening of the new two‑storey school extension, we now have access to an expanded range of facilities across the whole school site. This enables us to offer a wider variety of play, leisure, and social opportunities in a safe, familiar environment.
Our Purpose
While the school day focuses on education, our service places emphasis on:
- Play
- Social communication
- Personal and social development
- Building confidence and independence through meaningful leisure experiences
We work in partnership with the Children with Disabilities Team to ensure our provision complements each child’s wider support plan.
Who We Support
Historically, Trinity Fields Leisure Services delivered schemes for 8–17 year olds, with age‑appropriate groupings and activities. In recent years, the service has expanded to include under‑8s, increasing the number of children and young people who can access support.
Accessing the Service
Parents and carers of pupils at Trinity Fields School may submit an application when spaces are available. Places are allocated using a clear criteria‑based system to ensure fairness and to prioritise those with the greatest need.
