CALDS (Child and Adolescent Learning Disability Service)

Who are CALDS?
The Child and Adolescent Learning Disability Service (CALDS) is an experienced, specialist team comprised of community learning disability nurses, an occupational therapist, a consultant psychiatrist, speech & language therapist and a clinical psychologist.

We work with children/young people aged 4-18 with a moderate to severe learning disability along with behaviours that challenge or complex mental health issues.

The service covers Caerphilly, Monmouth, Blaenau Gwent, Newport and Torfaen.

We are a dedicated, child and young person centred service which endeavours to improve the quality of life of the children and young people (CYP) and their families who are known to our service.

We work across a variety of settings including home, respite and school.
